I'm posting a notice here just incase anyone subscribed to this list is not 
 on my SCE mailing list. If you have not received the notice below then you 
are  not on my SCE mailing list. If you would like to be added to my SCE 
list let me  know and I will add you.
 
   There will be an EARN Meeting in Diamond Bar Oct. 7 at 6PM in  the      
AQMD/Government Center Bldg. the Address is 21825  Copley Dr., Diamond Bar, 
CA, 91765. Let’s discuss among other things this  new interpretation of the 
FCC ruling  97.113a. Hope to see all interested  members.

ARRL Board Adopts Guidelines and Recommendations on the Appropriate  Use of 
Amateur Radio        


(Sep 25, 2009) — On Friday, September 25, the ARRL Board  of Directors    
adopted guidelines on the appropriate use  of Amateur Radio on behalf of   
commercial, non-profit and  government entities, as well as recommendations 
for additional steps to be  taken by the ARRL to educate radio amateurs and 
others on how  to prepare and train for public service and emergency      
communications while complying with the  current FCC  Rules.
