Directions: Take the 57 Fwy. Grand off ramp east to Golden Springs. Turn left on Golden Springs and go about 1/4 mile. The park is on the right side of the road. Take the driveway to the east end of the park. We will be in the covered picnic area.

There are swings and slides for children, and hiking trails for the more adventurous.

There is limited parking, we may have to park on the street and carpool back to the park.

We plan on electing new officers and planning our field day activities.

Please RSVP to n6say@msn.com if you are planning on attending. I need to know how much food to buy. Also, this is a pot-luck picnic. If you would like to bring some food to share, please let me know what you can bring.

EARN will provide the hamburger/hot dogs and buns.

We will be presenting a video of a recent talk by George Dobbs, G3RJV, of the G-QRP club about QRP (low power operation). In this talk, George reviews QRP construction techniques, talks about the history and the evolution of some of the most well known QRP rigs. Most important, George’s comments about the spiritual, philosphical aspects of what we do, about why this hobby makes us happy. A must see for all hams!

We will also try to do some more advanced planning for field day and discuss our picnic coming up on Saturday June 5th.

AMSAT area coordinator Clint Bradford, K6LCS, will be presenting his ‘Working Amateur Satellites With Your HT’ multimedia session at the March 3, 2010 meeting of the Edison Amateur Radio Network. All are welcome to attend.
“Tentatively, we have a pass of AO-51 at 5:40PM before the meeting,” Clint reports. “I’ll be working the satellite from the AQMD parking lot if you’d like to show up a few minutes early.”
